Waffles for 5
- by
Scott the Cooking Badly GuyThese are light and fluffy and this recipe makes enough for my wife and I to have one or two (usually) after my kids are full.
Servings: 5 (duh), 10-12 waffles
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs, seperated
- 3 cups milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
Whisk egg whites until peaks form.
Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and nutmeg in a large mixing bowl.
In a smaller bowl combine the milk, vanilla and egg yolks.
Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients in the larger bowl and mix slightly. Add in melted butter and continue to stir until no dry flour shows. The batter should still be lumpy.
Fold in the egg whites.
Bake in your waffle iron according to it's directions.
